We offer professional training through a variety of courses in the areas of administration and technology. After completing the course, you enter into the referral database of our Opportunities area, which supports you in finding a job opening.

Our methodology comprises of:

Classroom:

Our instructors carry out the training with the support of the monitors and pedagogues, who are responsible for school extension classes and behavioral workshops. We have a team formed by an educational leader, educational designer, analysts and educational assistants.

Psychosocial Team:

Composed by social workers and psychologists with the aim of supporting students’ emotional and social issues. It assists in demands related to anxiety, depression, family conflicts, advocacy of rights, learning difficulties, inclusion / diversity and other situations that may interfere with good performance in the classroom.

Behavioral development

One of our main differences is the focus on the development of behavioral skills (soft skills) to effectively prepare the students for the challenges of the job market. There are two pillars that substantiate the action from the student’s point of view:

"How I behave"

In the classroom, based on an exclusive discipline, methodologies and tools are used that place the student as the protagonist of their training, through workshops, gamification, debate dynamics. In addition, there is transversal work in other disciplines with the aim of developing and improving skills such as teamwork, creativity, leadership, empathy, digital citizenship, organization, discipline, diversity, negotiation, conflict resolution, etc.

"How I feel"

Work performed by the psychosocial team to welcome and support students, addressing the relationship with emotions and personal stories. Individual calls are conducted and, when necessary, a relationship with the social assistance network.

The current scenario has made us think of creative ways to continue our work, offering knowledge and professional training to young people and people with disabilities.

Who our courses are for:

Adolescents and young people aged between 15 and 29 years (*) and People with Disabilities from the age of 16, who are attending or have already completed high school, preferably in the public school system.

*Youth Statute, Law No. 12,852, of August 5, 2013. “And, for adolescents aged between 15 and 18 years old, the Child and Adolescent Statute, Law No. 8,069, of July 13, 1990.”

  • Parents or guardians ID and CPF (Brazilian social security number);
  • Proof of schooling;
  • Proof of residence (water, electrical or telephone bill);
  • Proof of income for all residents of the residence (legible copies of pay stubs, pension receipt, self-employed declaration, etc.).
  • For people with disabilities: updated medical report.

  • Through the list of selected candidates that is released at the end of each registration period.
  • If your name is not on the shortlist published on the website, the candidate can contact the service unit in which he / she signed up.
  • The courses last one semester on average.
  • In general, classes take place from Mondays to Fridays; however, this can change depending on the need for classes online or face-to-face due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Yes, IOS follows the protocols and guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education. If face-to-face meetings are not possible, the course will continue in an online format.
  • Hours may vary between morning, afternoon and evening, according to each course. This information can be verified when registration is confirmed.
  • There are no surprise costs, the course and materials are completely free.
  • IOS is maintained by raising funds that can be public – through projects registered by the IOS in government notices – or private, through transfers or projects idealized in partnership with companies.
  • IOS keeps in contact with the students even after the conclusion of the course and employability is worked on by the IOS Opportunities team over a period of 3 years. It is important to highlight though, that the achievement of a position is related to several factors that do not depend exclusively on IOS.
  • Yes, everyone who passes receives a certificate of completion after the course ends.
  • The policy for granting assistance to students depends on the conditions of each course and is defined by the social assistance professionals of IOS.
  • This information can be confirmed after the registration I confirmed, directly at the service unit where you will attend the course.
  • Yes, it is necessary to update registration documents.
